Two sisters, ages 13 and 2, were briefly hospitalized for smoke inhalation after their six-unit Superior condo building caught fire while they were home alone Thursday.
Flames engulfed the Summit Condominiums building at 2855 Rock Creek Circle, displacing about 15 people, said Cmdr. Rick Brough of the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
He said the fire apparently started next door to the girls’ unit shortly after 2 p.m., but the 13-year-old was the first to notice and report it.
Hadi Hashmi said his daughter Heraa saved the life of her 2-year-old sister, Nabiha.
