Four members of the Philadelphia Flyers “Broad Street Bullies” championship teams of the 1970s are going through the steps that will make them U.S. citizens. Canadians Bill Clement, Orest Kindrachuk, Bob Kelly and Dave Schultz raised the Stanley Cup together in 1974 and 1975, and they’ll raise their right hands to take the citizenship oath Sept. 17. Schultz, known as “The Hammer,” laughs when he says he hopes his days as Flyers enforcer won’t be held against him during the background check. “No, thank God,” he said. “That can’t count against me.”
