The train at Tiny Town in Jefferson County will be running again today. The park’s information line’s recording tells callers, “The trains will be running at Tiny Town.”
The recording said the trains will run seven days a week until Labor Day, and then only weekends in September.
The trains had not been running since Aug. 11, when a train engine and five cars derailed, injuring more than 11 people. Before Tiny Town could resume train operations, it had to pay a fine, ensure adequate training and have an independent inspector certify its safety.
