Representatives for Chaparral senior Andrew Loudenback will meet with the Colorado High School Activities Association’s appeals committee at 1 p.m. today in an effort to have the ineligible quarterback reinstated.

In February, CHSAA ruled that Loudenback must sit out the first five games of the season for violating the high school transfer rule after coming over from Ponderosa after his sophomore season.

His appeal to the Continental League to have the suspension lifted was rejected, by an 11-1 vote, Aug. 19.

Should the appeals committee not overturn the suspension, Loudenback’s representatives could seek an injunction.

Chaparral opens its season Friday at 7 p.m. by hosting defending Class 5A state champion Mullen at Stadium in Parker.
