GOLDEN, Colo.—A man who had been banned from working in a liquor store has been sentenced to 42 months in jail for selling alcohol to a teenager.
Forty-seven-year-old Van Thien Pham (VAN THAN FAM) was sentenced in Jefferson County court on Monday.
Prosecutors say Pham sold a 24-ounce bottle of beer to a minor, who was working undercover for police, without asking for identification at his wife’s liquor store.
He was under a court order not to work in a liquor store after pleading guilty in 2008 to selling alcohol to minors, one of whom caused a fatal car crash.
