MANITOU SPRINGS — After two suspicious packages were discovered Thursday afternoon in Manitou Springs, officials launched a criminal investigation, The Gazette reported.
While refusing to say what they found, officials closed the area surrounding the intersection of Lovers Lane and Lafayette Road for the investigation.
That intersection and numerous surrounding roads were closed beginning at 2:45 p.m. Thursday after the packages were discovered. Most of the area was reopened about 8:30 p.m.
