Aurora police and the FBI are asking the public’s help in identifying a bank robber who struck on Tuesday.

The robbery happened at about 12:40 p.m. at the U.S. Bank, 2990 S. Peoria St., according to an FBI media release.

The robber demanded money, received it and fled.

The FBI described the robber as a black man, around the age 25, about 5-feet 6-inches tall and 150 pounds. He has sideburns and some facial hair on his chin.

Anyone with information on the bank robbery or a possible suspect is asked to call the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force at 303 629-7171. Tipsters can remain anonymous and earn up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest by calling Crimestoppers at 720 913-STOP (7867).
