Chris Guarnero will see some familiar faces when the Cal center lines up Saturday against Colorado. The former Mullen High School star is a senior now, and last season he started all 13 games at center after replacing first-team All-American Alex Mack. Guarnero, who has started 16 career games at Cal, moved back to center last season after spending most of 2008 at guard. He was the starting left guard in 2008 for the first three games before a toe injury sidelined him for the season.
Nick Alletto, BYU: The senior from Ponderosa will have plenty of support. The 6-foot-6, 325-pound senior started 11 games last year at right guard but this season is listed at right tackle and left guard.
