The man who survived an explosion last week that leveled his house was identified Monday as 52-year-old John Sankey, according to Sgt. Candi Baker of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
Baker said the cause of the explosion at 7724 Sherman St. is still under investigation.
The explosion about 9 a.m. Wednesday also caused destruction up and down the street.
Sankey was taken to Denver Health Medical Center, according to Baker, but is no longer listed as a patient there.
