A man with a distinctive brim on his cap is being sought by the FBI for a string of Front Range bank robberies Monday and Tuesday.
The so-called Flatbill Bandit demanded money and ran away from the Chase Bank branch at 4580 West 121st Ave. in Broomfield at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
He indicated to a clerk he had a gun.
The FBI said he is also suspected of robbing two banks on Monday: the Wells Fargo branch at 10103 West Belleview Ave. in Littleton and the Chase Bank at 1275 East Magnolia Ave. in Fort Collins.
Authorities have dubbed him the “Flatbill Bandit” based on the brim of a baseball hat he wears.
He is described as white, in his mid-20s, about 5 feet, 5 inches tall with a thin build, dark hair with a “scruffy” beard, according to the FBI.
Anyone with information can call the FBI at 303-629-7171 or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. There is a $2,000 reward.
