NASA announced Thursday that it has awarded launch-services contracts to four companies, two of which are in Colorado.
Lockheed Martin Space Systems, based in south Jefferson County, and United Launch Alliance of Centennial along with Orbital Sciences Corp. of Virginia and Space Exploration Technologies of California will provide a broad range of launch services.
NASA has the ability to order a maximum of 70 launch- services missions with a maximum potential contract value of $15 billion over 10 years.
