The Colorado College women’s soccer team defeated Northern Colorado 2-0 on Thursday at Stewart Field in Colorado Springs, the teams’ first meeting since the 2004 regular season.
Tiger freshman midfielder Madison Whitehead scored the game-winner early in the second half as she found the back of the net on a cross from Brittney Lyman.
Colorado College will host No. 13-ranked Oklahoma State at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Boulder Marathon moves to Oct. 3.
The Boulder Marathon, half-marathon and 10-kilometer scheduled for Sunday at the Boulder Reservoir have been rescheduled for Oct. 3 because of the fires near Boulder and Loveland. Start times and the location of the start/finish remain the same.
