Corn prices catapulted above $5 per bushel as reports of a disappointing U.S. crop are proliferating and a potentially crop-damaging frost in China hit already-tight global grain supplies.
Corn futures for December delivery rose 17.25 cents to settle at $5.1325 a bushel on the Chicago Board of Trade.
