ENGLEWOOD, Colo.—The Denver Broncos have juggled their running back corps again, waiving Lance Ball and re-signing Andre Brown.
The moves were announced Tuesday.
Brown spent the first week of the season on the Broncos’ roster before being waived and signed to the team’s practice squad. He had been awarded to the Broncos off waivers from the New York Giants but didn’t play in the opener as he was dealing with a turf toe injury.
Ball had capitalized on increased carries in the preseason to earn a roster spot as Knowshon Moreno, Correll Buckhalter and LenDale White got hurt during training camp. The Broncos also traded for Laurence Maroney last week.
