The Better Business Bureau Foundation for Denver and Boulder named six metro area teenagers finalists for its Student of Integrity scholarship.
The finalists are Iaisha Antoine of Manual High School, Susan Cruickshank of Pomona Senior High School, Ana Galvan-Callejas of William Smith High School, Phuc Nguyen of South High School, Ruby Nunez of Martin Luther King Jr. Early College, and Hana Yohanes of South High School.
The $10,000 scholarship honors the winner’s “exceptional character, leadership and ethical values,” according to the Better Business Bureau.
The finalists were selected from 80 applications this year.
Sudents were judged on a 400-word essay, letters of recommendation and examples of their leadership and community involvement.
The winner will be named at a Better Business Bureau luncheon on Oct. 15.
