ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, Colo.—Officials say a Kansas man has fallen some 300 feet to his death in Rocky Mountain National Park.
The National Park Service says the man fell Saturday afternoon from a ledge on Longs Peak. The Boulder County coroner identified him Sunday as 57-year-old John M. Regan of Wichita. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.
Three hikers on the Keyhole Route of the 14,000-foot peak witnessed the fall, and park rangers were called by cell phone soon after it happened.
Rocky Mountain National Park is about 70 miles northwest of Denver.
