The group trying to recall Denver school board member Andrea Merida on Tuesday resubmitted paperwork to the Denver Elections Division.

It is the third time the group has submitted the documents, which were rejected twice mainly because of clerical errors.

If approved, the group has 60 days to collect 4,032 signatures from registered voters in Merida’s district, which encompasses southwest Denver. If signatures are successfully obtained, the question would then go onto the ballot, along with names of candidates to replace her.

Merida was elected in November, beating her opponent by 116 votes.
