The European luxury kitchen manufacturer Poggenpohl has deemed Denver an “up and coming architectural” city. The result? A 3,700-square-foot Poggenphol showroom is now located at 2527 Larimer St., inside Studio 2b, a design space. A new outdoor market unfolds in Denver’s Berkeley neighborhood today from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendor spaces are sold out for the inaugural Horseshoe Craft and Flea Market located at West 46th Avenue and Tennyson Street. The market was organized by an artsy entrepreneur and is co-sponsored by vintage and antiques dealers, so it promises an array of distinctive wares such as those pictured here. Growing responsible kids
Brita has challenged students nationwide to put their environmental passion to work for real green. Their ideas could net their school a $1,000 grant. The FilterForGood Eco-Challenge is open to individuals, clubs, classes or entire schools. Online applications can be submitted until Nov. 19.
Cool (recycled) tools
Here’s an item for those of us with two hammers, three Phillips-head screwdrivers, and an old power drill that just wasn’t powerful enough. Gather up those handy old gadgets for this weekend’s “Tool Drive” hosted by Boulder’s Center for ReSource Conservation. The tools will become part of Boulder’s first “Tool Library” where residents and local nonprofits can check out tools to use in home and community projects.
