Paonia memorial
Winner: Cindy Lewis, Paonia
The statue pictured last week is of Gabrielle Etter. Sadly, she died over a year ago around Easter. She was just 13. She loved to dance and read, thus the pose. Her family commissioned a local artist to make the statue in remembrance of Gabrielle. It is in front of the Paonia library. She was a beautiful girl, inside and out, and still very missed by those who knew her.
