The Pueblo Ghost Walk is Friday and Saturday. This event incorporates stories from Pueblo’s past during walking tours that leave every 15 minutes from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., starting at La Placita of El Pueblo History Museum. Tickets are $8.

The second Annual Pawtober Fest 5K run/walk to benefit the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region starts at 9 a.m. Saturday at America the Beautiful Park, 126 Cimino Drive, in Colorado Springs. Participants are encouraged to bring their dogs. The festival after the run will include a a costume contest for your dog, food, drinks, live entertainment and kids’ activities.

The Durango Heritage Celebration Thursday through Sunday will feature period re-enactments, an 1880s train ride, Victorian dance classes, a Grand Victorian Ball (tickets required), and many other activities. or 970-382-9298

The Frontier Historical Museum in Glenwood Springs offers guided tours through Linwood Cemetery by lantern light, Oct. 15-30. Actors portray Glenwood pioneers, including Doc Holliday. Tickets, $15, are on sale now. Bring a flashlight. or 970-945-4448
