A look at how Furniture Row Racing’s Regan Smith fared in Sunday’s Sprint Cup race in Kansas City, Kan.:

• After two solid practices Saturday, Smith was looking to finish the weekend with a positive performance, but handling problems caused him to finish 26th.

• As soon as the green flag dropped to start the 267-lap, 400-mile race, Smith had to fight the handling issues with his No. 78 Chevrolet.

• “We just couldn’t get the car to stick the way we wanted to,” Smith said. “What’s disappointing is that everything leading up to the race was positive. The car felt good in qualifying.”
