DURANGO — Two people on board a single-engine Cessna that crashed Sunday morning walked away with minor injuries.

The Federal Aviation Administration says the Cessna-172D took off from La Plata County Airport at 10:55 a.m. Sunday headed toward Page, Ariz. Officials say the plane was in the air for only a few minutes when the engine lost power.

The La Plata County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash site in the 11000 block of County Road 213 and called ambulances to transport the pilot, Brian Price, 37, and his wife, Lisa Price, 37, of Page to the hospital. Officials said the two had minor injuries.
