A Denver sheriff’s deputy was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust.
Mark Davis, 49, was being held at the Jefferson County jail, the Denver Police Department said. Investigators were concerned that Davis, who lives in the Montbello area, might have victimized other children, some of whom might now be adults.
Davis was arrested Sunday in Denver without incident. He has been placed on leave. He has worked for the Sheriff’s Office for 14 years. Howard Pankratz, The Denver Post
