Shorter days are no reason to put your bike away. But the early sunset offers reasons aplenty to check out the bright new Push bike light (MSRP: $50) recently introduced by Princeton Tec. Pumping out a stout 100 lumens from a single Maxbright LED, the Push works as both a commuter light or an off-road illuminator. Independent lighting pipes emit flashing red lights through the side windows that increase visibility to 260 degrees, alerting traffic both in front of and beside riders. The sleek, unobtrusive light can be stably mounted to any-size handlebars and removed via a quick-release tab. The Push promises 63 hours of burn time, a bit more on mountain bikes when the side flashers are disabled to focus on the bumps and berms in your path. The light also features a low setting.
