CENTENNIAL, Colo.—The League of Women Voters of Arapahoe County is holding a panel discussion about three contentious ballot initiatives that would cut taxes and limit government spending.
The group was looking for someone to speak in support of the measures at Wednesday’s event after a cancellation by Gregory Golyansky, vice chairman of the Colorado Union of Taxpayers.
Dan Hopkins, former spokesman for former Gov. Bill Owens, is speaking against the measures.
Proposition 101 would reduce automobile and telecommunications taxes, Amendment 60 would cancel voter-approved tax-limit overrides and Amendment 61 would limit municipal borrowing and bar state debt.
