Jacque Davisson had 10 kills, five digs and a service ace Thursday to lead the Colorado State volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-11, 25-20, 25-23) win over host Air Force.

Brieon Paige added eight kills and six digs for the 17th-ranked Rams, and Audrey Hemmings had 12 digs. Annalyse Schmitt had seven kills and two digs for the Falcons.

• Kelley Arnold (13) and Ashley Lichtenberg (11) each reached double figures in kills to lead Northern Colorado to a 3-0 (25-13, 25-19, 25-20) win over Montana State in Greeley.

Setter Marissa Hughes had 30 assists and four service aces for the Bears.

• Former Grandview High School standout Sara Nehf had 16 kills and 20 digs to lead UNLV to a 3-2 (25-21, 15-25, 25-22, 17-25, 15-10) win over visiting Wyoming, which got 13 kills and 10 digs from Jodi Purdy.

Baylor women big favorite.

Baylor has been picked by Big 12 coaches as the favorite to win the conference title in women’s basketball for the second straight year, while the University of Colorado was picked to finish last.

The preseason poll, released this week by the Big 12, put Texas A&M at No. 2, followed by Oklahoma, Texas and Iowa State.

Baylor received all 11 first-place votes.
