In an effort to raise money for charity, anchorman Dan Cochell has been living above a billboard, 50 feet above the ground, in Colorado Springs since Saturday.
Cochell, an anchor at KRDO-TV, is living above a Mind Seizure Haunted House billboard. He has been eating once a day. He has not showered and has barely slept, according to a press release.
He will not come down until 6 p.m. Saturday.
The effort is part of the “Scare for Care and Share” food and donation drive. The money and donations will go to Care and Share, a food bank distributing food to people in need in southern Colorado for 35 years.
Mind and Seizure Haunted House will be offering discounted tickets at $10.55 for every donation made. Those tickets will be valid through Sunday.
Other sponsors are also offering discounts for food and cash donations given to “Scare for Care and Share.”
To drop off donations, a drivethrough has been set up at the Colorado Springs Flea Market on East Platte in Colorado Springs.
Donations can be made online at .
