One of pop music’s comeback kids, Robert Van Winkle, introduces the public to yet another layer in his sometimes bizarre entertainment persona on Thursday night when the DIY Network premieres “The Vanilla Ice Project,” a 10-episode series that follows the rapper best known for his early ’90s hit “Ice, Ice, Baby” as he picks up some tools instead of a mic.
