Firefighters expect the Wadsworth Ridge blaze to be 100 percent contained by 8 p.m. and most fire crews have been released from the area, according to West Metro Fire Rescue.
The fire in Jefferson County near the Douglas County line and close to Waterton Canyon and South Wadsworth Boulevard, is on land near the Lockheed Martin plant.
Lockheed Martin Fire crews will continue to work the fire, which is estimated at 400 acres.
Today’s rain helped to put down the flames.
