BOULDER, Colo.—The head of Power Tagging Technologies Inc. says his company expects to add 300 high-tech jobs over the next three years.

The privately held company based in Boulder has 30 employees now.

Power Tagging provides “smart grid” technology. A smart grid can help utilities and their customers determine, in real time, how much electricity is being used. Power Tagging provides the technology to track, record and communicate that information.

President and CEO John LoPorto said Tuesday that he based his prediction for job growth on the company’s backlog and market demand.
