Boulder police are investigating an accident at 3141 Walnut St. this morning where a man apparently ran his car into a store after his foot slipped off the brake.

The 69-year-old man, whose name hasn’t been released, told investigators that his foot slipped off the brake and onto the gas at about 10:30 a.m., causing his car to jump a curb and run into the side of the Greenwood Wildlife Thrift Store, according to Boulder police Sgt. Jim MacPherson.

The car knocked some bricks off the side of the building and broke two plate-glass windows, MacPherson said.

No one was injured in the accident, and the man was ticketed on suspicion of careless driving.
