Deadline Nov. 19: “Passion for Fashion” competition is open to high- school seniors scheduled to graduate in 2011. The competition includes two separate categories: Fashion Design and Fashion Retail Management. Key to the Cure Charity Shopping Weekend

Oct. 21-24: Saks Fifth Avenue Denver and the Denver Health Foundation have again joined forces to raise money and awareness for women’s cancer treatment and detection. Saks is hosting a local celebrity fashion show with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, music and shopping at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 21. Tickets are $100, VIP runway tickets are $150. Guests may purchase “keys” for $75 each or three for $200 to fashion trunks holding various gifts and getaways. Saks stores, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH stores and will also donate two percent of sales from the shopping weekend to local and national women’s cancer organizations and research centers. Saks is also offering a limited- edition “Key to the Cure” T-shirt for $35.
