A Denver grand jury indicted three men last week in an alleged racketeering scheme.
Alan Eugene DeAtley, 54, Rich ard Lee Davis, 55, and David Michael Zamzow, 61, are named in a 25-count indictment alleging racketeering, theft, forgery and tax evasion in a scheme to sell nonexistent conservation-easement tax credits.
The indictment alleges the men created multiple entities to sell nonexistent tax credits to unsuspecting victims, who lost more than $1 million. It also alleges that the Colorado Department of Revenue lost more than $20,000.
