FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A spokesman for a measure on the November ballot has filed a criminal complaint against Colorado Attorney General John Suthers over an alleged confrontation.
Robert Trucker of Safe Streets Colorado says he and Suthers argued Tuesday at a rally in Loveland. They were discussing Proposition 102, which would allow only nonviolent offenders arrested for the first time released without bail.
Trucker told The Coloradoan of Fort Collins Thursday that Suthers took his hand and pushed Trucker’s camera down toward the ground and poked him in the chest. He says he waited a day to file his complaint with the Larimer County sheriff’s department because he felt intimidated at the rally.
Suthers campaign spokesman Andrew Cole says the two spoke, but there was no physical altercation.
