The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5061 will host a reunion for World War II veterans Saturday at noon.
Jerry Jones, a member at the post, said he expects between 13 and 16 veterans to show up for the reunion.
“They’ll have a little get together,” Jones said. “I’m sure a lot of stories will be told, and they will have coffee and doughnuts.”
A professional photographer will take a group picture of the veterans.
The community is also invited to join.
The event will be at noon at the post located at 5220 W. Warren St., near Evans and Sheridan Boulevard.
The event is being held as a commemoration for the few veterans still alive from that war, and to make sure people don’t forget them, Jones said.
