DENVER—Boston College got a goal in each period and great defense to beat Denver 3-0 Saturday for a sweep of their men’s college hockey series.
Jimmy Hayes and Cam Atkinson scored for the Eagles (4-0-0), who beat the Pioneers 6-2 on Friday. Hayes and Atkinson also scored in that game.
Tommy Cross had the Eagles’ other goal against Pioneers (1-2-1) goalie Sam Brittain.
Boston College outshot Denver 33-20.
Eagles goalie Parker Milner made 20 saves.
Denver was 0-for-9 on the power play after going 0-for-8 on Friday.
