1969: Joined Lockheed Martin Corp., served in numerous executive positions.
1977: NASA Public Service Award for work as principal designer of electronic and power equipment for the Viking Mars Lander. He also was a member of the Viking Lander team, which received a NASA Public Service Award.
1997: NASA Public Service Award for work on the space shuttle’s external tank.
June 2006: Retired from Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co. as executive vice president, a position he held for three years.

•Member, Alliance for Choice in Education board of trustees
•Member, Wings Over the Rockies board
•Appointed in 2005 by Gov. Bill Owens to Colorado Institute of Technology board (CIT was disbanded in 2007).
