DENVER—Denver police say a man who tried to help a woman who was pushed out of a car was stabbed in the neck several times by another man.
KMGH-TV reports the man is recovering from his injuries and police plan to honor him for his actions next week.
Denver police spokesman Matt Murray says the man, whose name has not been released, saw a woman get pushed out of a car near an intersection Wednesday night and went to help her and that’s when he was stabbed.
Murray says officers followed the suspect and arrested him after a short car chase. Police are investigating 27-year-old Brent Ward for the stabbing. He could face charges that include first-degree assault with a deadly weapon.
