FORT COLLINS, Colo.—The Larimer County Sheriff’s office says detectives suspect foul play in the disappearance of a Fort Collins couple.
Spokeswoman Eloise Campanella says sheriff’s deputies conducting a welfare check at the home of Kathy Adams and her husband John Marks Jr. on Oct. 12 discovered “suspicious circumstances” that made them think foul play is involved.
Investigators found a 1995 silver four-door Buick LaSabre at a Weld County motel on Wednesday and say they believe it’s the vehicle last driven by the couple.
KUSA-TV reports that Adams’ relatives have flown from Atlanta, Pittsburth, Seattle and Guam to help look for her in Colorado. Adams’ family told KMGH-TV and KUSA-TV that she was planning on leaving her husband.
