The Colorado Mines football team moved up from No. 24 to No. 20 in this week’s American Football Coaches Association NCAA Division II coaches’ top 25 poll.
The Orediggers defeated Mesa State 46-10 on Saturday in Golden, improving to 6-1, 5-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. They face Western State at 1 p.m. Saturday in Gunnison.

The Colorado State volleyball team ascended to No. 15 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division I coaches’ top 25 poll.
The Rams have won eight straight matches, including victories last week over conference teams TCU and New Mexico.
• Colorado’s Kerra Schroeder was named the Big 12 volleyball offensive player of the week. Schroeder registered her sixth double-double of the season in the Buffs’ victory over Texas Tech last week.
