LAKEWOOD, Colo.—Authorities say two people died after an SUV rolled down an embankment on C-470 in Lakewood.
KMGH-TV reports that a young girl died at the scene of the crash Monday afternoon and a woman was pronounced dead later at a hospital. Their names have not been released.
Lakewood police say the woman was the driver of a 1997 Ford Explorer that hit a 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora. The Explorer rolled and come to a stop in an embankment off the highway. The girl who died was a passenger in the Explorer.
Another child in the Explorer and the driver of the Oldsmobile were also injured.
