According to an employee bulletin, Bryan Bedford, chief executive of Republic Airways — Frontier Airlines’ parent company — will seek “similar wage increases” for Republic employees that he promised for Frontier crews Sunday on CBS’s “Undercover Boss.”
Bedford is president of Republic Airways Holdings, which owns Republic and the merged Midwest and Frontier after buying them last year. Frontier employees gave up 10 percent in pay in 2008 to keep the airline alive. Republic’s workers have not had wage- scale increases since 2007.
On the TV show Sunday night, Bedford said he wanted to restore the 10 percent over three years.
