A fire broke out just north of Tiny Town in brush, grass and timber, according to Daniel Hatlestad of Inter-Canyon Fire Rescue.
Jefferson County dispatch told 9News the small brush fire got to about 150 feet by 100 feet before it was fully contained.
The fire was located at Parmalee Gulch and Myers Ranch Gulch Road, Hatlestad said.
He said that the Indian Hills Fire Department responded and that Inter-Canyon sent two trucks.
Mark Techmeyer, spokesman for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, said that the Evergreen Fire Department also responded.
The fire was southwest of Morrison, just off U.S. 285.
The smoke from the fire could be seen in downtown Denver.
