Pie time

Here’s the deal: Between now and Nov. 15, visit , click on “Pie in the Sky,” and order your pies — apple, cherry, pecan or pumpkin. Bluepoint Bakery will have them ready for you to pick up (at more than 10 area locations) on Nov. 23. The price: $25 per pie, of which $20 is tax-deductable. The bonus: Each pie purchased translates into five nutritious meals delivered to folks fighting life-threatening illnesses. Talk about having your pie and eating it too.

Judgette Cocktail
From “Mr. Boston Official Bartender’s Guide.” Makes 1.
Ingredients
3/4 ounce peach-flavored brandy
3/4 ounce gin
3/4 ounce dry vermouth
1/4 ounce lime juice
Directions
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
