Pie time

Thanksgiving looms. This year, get a jump on your holiday to-do list by ordering your pies as part of Project Angel Heart’s annual Pie in the Sky fundraiser. Here’s the deal: Between now and Nov. 15, visit , click on “Pie in the Sky,” and order your pies — apple, cherry, pecan or pumpkin. Bluepoint Bakery will have them ready for you to pick up (at more than 10 area locations) on Nov. 23. The price: $25 per pie, of which $20 is tax-deductable. The bonus: Each pie purchased translates into five nutritious meals delivered to folks fighting life-threatening illnesses. Talk about having your pie and eating it too.

Happy birthday, Judge Judy

“Don’t spit on my cupcake and tell me it’s frosting!” is just one of Judy Sheindlin’s trademark witticisms. “Judge Judy,” who turns 68 on Thursday, was a Manhattan family court judge before launching one of the most successful television franchises in history in 1996 — a gig that pays her $45 million a year, according to reports. Anyone for a Judgette?
