BAGHDAD — An American soldier was charged Wednesday with killing two fellow U.S. troops and wounding a third after an argument last month.
Army Spec. Neftaly Platero, 32, of Houston was charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder in a Sept. 23 shooting in Fallujah, Iraq. Pfc. Gebrah Noonan, 26, of Watertown, Conn., and Spec. John Carrillo Jr., 20, of Stockton, Calif., died the day after the shootings.
