Butch Lewis, who went to Southern California as a defensive tackle in 2006, has started at guard and tackle during his time at USC. This season he has started every game at left guard. The three-year starter from Regis Jesuit High missed most of 2010’s spring practice because of a thigh injury and is nursing a shoulder injury this week during the Trojans’ bye.
J.J. Williams, Utah: After reviving his game last season as the Utes’ top linebacker, the Grandview High grad has not played this season because of a nagging foot injury. “The outlook is getting more bleak each week for J.J. as the season progresses and he doesn’t,” coach Kyle Whittingham told reporters this week.
