SAN FRANCISCO — While Netflix shareholders celebrated Thursday, the video-subscription service’s customers vented about a website outage that prevented them from streaming movies and TV shows over the Internet.
The breakdown occurred just a few hours after Netflix’s stock price reached a new high in an ebullient reaction to the company’s third-quarter results. The Internet option wasn’t available for several hours Thursday.
