NATIONAL WEATHER ASSOCIATION named Mike Nelson, chief meteorologist for KMGH-Channel 7, broadcaster of the year for 2010. Nelson, who joined 7News in 2004, has won 14 Emmy awards for outstanding weather anchor.

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF GENERAL MEDICAL SCIENCES appointed Karolin Luger, a Colorado State University distinguished professor of biochemistry and molecular biology, to serve on its advisory council.
