A bar tab apparently so angered a 23-year-old man Wednesday night he shot at two women.
The man was arrested and two women were taken to a hospital after the man shot at their vehicle as they drove away from CJ’s Sports Bar, 3535 N. Carefree Circle, police said. The shooting happened just before midnight.
A 24-year-old woman received non-life threatening gunshot wounds to her upper torso. Initial reports do not state whether the other woman’s injuries were from gunshots.
Police said the suspect was at the bar with friends. One of the victims asked for a bar tab, which angered the man. The women left and the man followed them and began shooting at the 24-year-old’s vehicle, with the women inside.
The suspect ran to a nearby apartment complex where police confronted him. He was carrying a handgun. Witnesses identified him as the shooter.
His identity has not been released. He was arrested on suspicion of three counts of attempted murder.
