WHAT’S AT STAKE

A true test for TCU’s defense in the last of three consecutive home games, this one against triple-option Air Force, out of the Top 25 after losing last week at San Diego State. The Frogs, No. 5 in the BCS, have won 20 consecutive regular-season games and a school-record 18 in a row at home. They play three of their last four on the road, including at ninth-ranked Utah.

KEY MATCHUP

Air Force, the nation’s top rushing team (347 yards per game), faces a TCU defense that’s second nationally at 218 total yards a game—and 90 yards rushing (ninth). The Falcons have averaged only 169 yards rushing their last four meetings against TCU.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Air Force: DE Jon Davis leads the Falcons with 51 tackles, tied for ninth in the Mountain West at 7.3 per game. The junior also has two interceptions.

TCU: QB Andy Dalton’s 36 victories are a TCU record and most by an active FBS quarterback. Already the school’s career leader, Dalton is only 93 yards shy of 9,000 yards passing.
